Hi Prateek,
first of all thanks a lot for taking time to read this review and commenting it. I appreciate your effort.
Prateek my aim is to promote Linux among masses. I didnt test Ubuntu or Knoppix for benchmarking. I just did a test that how quickly a distro can attarct a simple user. My dad and sis only know MS Word and Winamp. They are the users who I want to use Linux. I think we dont need to tell the professionals what is Linux. You can work on command prompt but not a normal user. So I simply inserted the CDs and asked my dad to use it. If he can anyone else can.
Regarding installing, dear its very hard to convince a normal user to spare 2-3GBs of HDD. So first I show them wat is Linux and then try convincing them. And wen they say OK lets give it a try I go for RHL. Now I have FC2.
But now I may remove FC2 and install Knoppix. It comes wid support for MP3s and MPEGs and you dont need to look for patches. (This may sound nonsense but look from a normal user's view.)
Still I will thank you. Keep it up. Am after Kubuntu. Downloading it and will soon be testing it same way.

I have been in favour of Ubuntu since it was launched. It appeared to be different. I have used knoppix and didnt like it much. I would rather say that i dont like KDE mcuh. Ubuntu uses Gnome and I am comfortable with it much more than KDE. I got to Ubuntu recently on a Live CD. I should say i was really impressed. It was just as I expected.
Now coming to your article. I would be a little critical over it. You did a good job comparing two important distros in the market. But it lacked the depthness of the research. You could have included a lot of details setting various criterias for your judgement. Then you could have also posted the results on LinuxEra.com. I appreciate your initiative towards the work.
Ubuntu is not a great LiveCD but it is a great installation. Comparing a LiveCD distro with an installation one would not do justice with both kinds of distros. So i expect that you work toward a more planned approach on comparing distros. And i would be obliged to help you out on the work.
