If by chance i am given a choice to choose some thing I will choose more spare time. It passey every second. I cant stop it. I even dont want to stop it. Let it go. So this year will again go. Its going already and next one is coming. Y2006. Like all the guys and gals blogging for new year I am too blogging for new year. I always wanted to rcord all my resolutions. Now I have blogger and I can do it. My this year’s resolution failed many times. But I will try my best to keep next year’s resolutions. If you are by chance reading this blog, you will find my one and only resolutions for year 2005. If you find it and leave a comment on it you winn all expense paid(by you ofcourse) trip to any one destination accorss the globe.
My first and fore most task in year 2006 will to strengthen my company. 2 years passed when I joined Sunrise Software Solutions. We saw many good and bad phases. There was a time I had almost quit. But I dont quit easily. So I am back. Back with more determination. I am ready to loose but I want to give my best. My target is to forge some good ties abroad. I have succeeded in some countries. then my min motive will be to organise the company. Build a good team. Overall goal is to make company capable of paying good salaries to team members. anyone who worked with me is again ready to work with me. Only I avoid as we cant pay them good salaries. The fact they are still ready to work with us makes me proud of my skills. Nitin still says you cant handle a team and he is right. I need to sharpen my skills in management too.
Earn more money. This is related to my first rsolution. So My company grows I grow. Company can pay me good salary.
Find time for myself. Having clients abroad is a good thing. But living in 4 dfferent time zones is bad. This year I will try to find out some time for myself. I promise myslef that

• Will go to see mom and dad in once a month. My mom and dad live in Ludhiana just 90 KMs from Chandigarh and I go home after 1-2 months. Mom and dad shifted to new place. Our neighbours when look at me with surprise and say, “So you are Sharma g’s son. We never saw you.”
• I will be a clean shaved guy whole year. Will not grow beard. Common believe is that I look smart when am clean shaved. Girls be aware. Smart guy around you. Boys, am sorry guys. Public demand. This was my resolutions for year 2005.
• I will take good care of my bike. And PC too. My PC and Bike both are my fav things. They never misbehave me and move in the direction where I want them to move. I will wash my bike at weekends atleast. Will dust my PC once in a week atleast.
• will shop some youthful colored cloths. All my wardrobe is full of sober and dull colors. Now I need some youth full color.
• I will find ONE REAL GF this year. Yes I am serius. I know this will be partialty with other girls but time has come for that Lucky one. Yes am in Love with Mah, but she is already married and is my Vitual GF. I want honesty in my relations.
• Will not drive like John Abraham. I drive at 70+KMPH. Dangerous. I do wear helmet but still its dangerous
• Will try to learn good english. Spoken and written too. I will also try to reduce my spelling and gramatical misstakes.

I am unable to find more resolutions this page is still draft. Why?
Oh recalled. I will stop forgetting things also. I want to forget some one and I am unable to do it. And I forget all everything else. I have a very bad memory. And in coming year my resolution is not to forget anything.
BTW I had made a long list of resolutions and I forgot where i had put the list

All that gliiter is not gold. But we still go with glitter. Artificial jewellery and Aishwarya Rai and MS Windows are example of this. We will prefer them for other good quality products that are available for less efforts or price.
I just got a new 80 Gig drive. So first thing I had to do was install OS on the drive. Lets begin with The glitter. I installed Win2KPro. I started installing OS around 4 in the evening yesterday and I am still struggling with it. Some drivers are missing. Current time is 5:30 PM
I alwayz have Linux on my machine. Dual boot machine. I rebooted the machine around 11:30AM today. Changed boot sequence and set CDROM as first boot drive. then inserted Knoppix and when knoppix booted I ran “sudo knoppix-installer” command in a shell. There was a message no gurantees. OK. Not an issue. You dont need gurantees with Linux. Launched Freecell and around 12:30 I was changing my debian desktop’s wallpaper and listning some songs.
I ask myself why still I am using windows? No answer.
When will my team learn using Linux.

Yesterday 2 things happened in Chandigarh.
a) Power Cut
b) Season’s first fog
So I was out of the office for first half, and guess what I did. NSTP. I went to Panjab University. Read the spelling again its PANJAB not PUNJAB.
Being a Punjabi by nature also I enjoy everything thats Punjabi. Winter brings some pure punjabi stuff also. Mainly yummy things. I remeber we used to be at our maternal grandparents house in Pathankot. Me, my yngr sis and our than 5 more cousin sister and brothers. 7-8 kids in a house. In day time we use to be on roof flying kites. Shouting at each other. Screaming. Then in the evening in front of TV. But all good things come to an end. My cousins are now grown up and they have kids. My yngr cousins have either completed their masters or are in finals. Me in Chandigarh working round the clock missing even the sunlight.
But still I find some good old punjabi things.
Gachak. I dont know how to explain but you will find it in Northern India. Primary ingrediant is jaggery. You can add peanuts and or dryfruits.
Peanuts. Peanuts and Peanuts. I dont think I need to explain it more.
Gajar ka halwa. Its again a North Indian desert. Till 2 years back I used to be at my home and enjoy this delicacy made by my mom. After my mom the only best cook in this world is mee. (Shameless self promotion. )
Bhugga. This is a punjabi stuff. Made using sesame and jaggery. Sesame is commonly known as Til in northern India. There are more versions of Bhugga that even dont use jaggery. One famous is “Khoye wala bhugga.” This is not my kind of thing. But I do like til wali gachak.
Apart from all these you can find gulab jamun and this is the season when my supply of coffee is not under any scanner. I can drink as much as I can. Hot mild espresso is my fav. Club with some desert like Gajar ka halwa or Garam Gulab Jamun. Yummy!!!
And the one thing that needs mention here is sarson ka saag and makki di roti.
Makki di roti is tough thing. Its really hard to knead dough of corn flour and make roti. Only experinced persons can do it. My mom obviusly can make good makki di rotis. Now the toughest thing in this combo is saag. The sarson ka saag. Sarson or Mustard is grown in for its seeds. In the month of feb one can see fileds in Punjab that look like a carpet of yellow colors. I guess every one has seen DDLJ and must have seen SRK standing in a field. The saag requires picking up the right mustard stems from field. Separating leaves and boiling them. Now this simple boiling process can be as complex as you can think of. Wooden stove will have separate aroma. What herbs you use while cooking leaves also have different effect. Then the tadka or frying part.
At last when you have both things ready you need atleast 100 gms of butter with just one makki ki roti and minimum 2-3 table spoons of ghee with half bowl of saag.
Its not over you can use corn flour in making methi ki roti. Again a difficult but yummy thing. Methi wali roti is served hot.
One of the things I will be doing after being rich and famous is to have my OWN SEPARATE kitchen. Must go and grab some breakfast. Its really weired that when you cant sleep you just start blogging.
Really insane.

NSTP.
Whats that???
Its an abbrevation. The term was coined by me. Like all great men on this planet I have coined many terms. LIFST Box, NSTP and Phi9 are fewor them.
Jan 2003, one of my uncle and me were having a stroll on on Sukhna Lake Chandigarh. Like me he also is a lover of natural things. Sukhna is man made. Anyway the girls are not. Some one called GOD created them and create a lot of problems. GOD is also responsible for many more problems. Anyway. He lookead around and said, “This place is good and I like it. You can come here and do CHAKSHU VYAYYAM.”
CHAKSHU = Eye
VYAYYAM = Exercise
My face was like
He said, “Dude dont tell me you dont know about CY.”
I said, “Really uncle. I dont know wat it is.”
Uncle: “Dude, you have ruined the name of mankind. I didnt expect this from you. I always thot you are knowledgable person. ”
Me:
Uncle: “OK son, CY is nothing but looking at ___ beautiful girls.”
Me:”, shi_ I calll it NSTP”.
Uncle:” and wat does NSTP stands for.”
Me:” Nayan Sukh Time Pass.”
NSTP is nothing but relief for your eyes. This term is used buy guys widely. They just change the letters but the real meaning is same. You just look at butiful gals. . This is purely doen to kill time and give relief to your eyes. Good exercise. Like every other exercise you need to take care while doing it. This exercise must be done quitley. No one except you shud know that you are doingh this exercise.
Today, I did this exercie.
Why?
In one of my recent post I claimed that I seldom go out. True. But I live in an autocratic setup. My niece, The Princess has ordered me to take her to Lake. Obviously she is the autocrate and I being a normal person in this setup today took her for a stroll on lake. Bhabhi g was also with me. We went for boating and Nanmun, my niece, she was not getting out of the boat. I had to shelve extra 30 Rs for the boat. She wasnt satis fied wen she was going home. Money is some time really a useless thing. You really cant buy everything to make a kid happy. Tough job. But I got worth of my money. I had promised her that I will take her to lake and I kept my words. She was still saying, “Chacha G I want to touch ducks.” I tried my best that she cud touch a duck. Called ducks by every name I cud use,”Ducky Ducky, hello, puchi puchi, hey baby, come on. come near.” But Ducks knew I am an omnivore. Or they heard me saying,”these ducks look Delicious.”
There was a time, when me and Shubhranshu used go for evening walk on lake. We used to do NSTP and discuss why the hell MS is more popular than Linux. Sweet memories.

OK lets Move It Move It.
I just watched Madagascar. Its a fun Movie and I like the Lemur King and Penguins. U can see a team of dedicated penguins who think that they are part of some consipiracy to keep them in the zoo.
The overall movie is fun to watch. Its really fun to see a Lion and a Zebra as friend and Lion. You see what the real friend ship is. Must watch it.
