Phew!!! 
The database size was 8+ MB and overhead was 5+MB i.e. total 13+ MB. 
Optimised the database and here you go. 
The theme has been widened and now 5 posts are being displayed on home page. Originally I wanted to add new theme but then I thought to tweak it.
